Letter written at New York, N.Y. to Samuel B. Gardiner. Mr. Gardiner owned twenty shares of the Erie Railway. "To secure unity of effort, concentration of the scattered power of individual Erie shareholders, with the view of rescuing the property from further spoliation, is the purpose of the Erie Protection Committee of New York."
